Chris Ward – Managing Director

Chris joined Abbey Legal Protection in 1993 as the Sales Director, he was then appointed Managing Director in 1996 and joined the Abbey Protection Group board in 2002.

Richard Candy - Underwriting Director

Richard joined Abbey Legal Protection in 1994 and was responsible for all aspects of Abbey’s risk management, including underwriting, claims and statistics. Richard was promoted to a Director of Abbey Legal Protection in 2003.

Murray Fairclough - Legal Services Director

Murray is Legal Services Director for Abbey Protection Group Limited. As a practising barrister and a member of the Employment Law Bar Association and the Employment Lawyers’ Association, Murray is also a published author and has contributed many articles and commentary to the national press, radio and trade journals. As Director of Legal Services, Murray is responsible for a team of over 60 barristers and solicitors who deliver a range of legal services including advice and litigation. Previously, he was head of employment law for the Legal Protection Group Limited before becoming senior Employment Law Associate with International law firm Sonnenshein.
